Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the full name given to her parents. Lennox took classes in piano, flute and harpsichord at the Royal Academy of Music London for three years throughout the 70s. She lived off of an allowance for students and went in part-time jobs to increase her budget. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance compared to her student classmates and was contemplating a different path she might follow. Lennox started her professional career in the year 1976 in the band Dragons Playground. However, she left shortly before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent contest. She was the vocalist of The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to 1980. She met Dave Stewart, with whom formed the pop-duo Eurythmics. Following that Lennox began working on her first solo album Diva that was released in the year 1992. The album was a massive achievement, both in terms of the sales as well as the critical acclaim. Nostalgia Lennoxs six-album solo, released in October 2014 was Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. Lennox chose her most loved blues and soul tunes. Also, in May of 2019, Lennox has released Lepidoptera which is a compilation of four improvised piano tracks. The E.P. The E.P. is her first self-produced album as well as a follow-up to her art work created at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art named Now I Let You go...
